Year 11 Transition Residential
As part of our new transition period from Year 11 into sixth form we held our first transition project in July 2018 in partnership with the NCS (National Citizenship Service) and Liberty a local charity that works with children who have special educational needs.
Students who had opted to stay on into sixth form went on a two-week residential course where they spent one week at an outdoor activity center participating in team building and outdoor activities and then the second week living at a Staffordshire university where they were able to learn life skills.
In the final two weeks’ students participated in a charitable project and then ended the project on a high with a celebration evening in Lichfield.
The whole transition project has been such as success we shall be running it again this academic year.
