Sixth Form Transition
Parents/carers and students are given information during an evening presentation by staff and students from the study group based at Cannock Chase High School. Students in Year 11 then visit Cannock Chase High and have a tour around the site and spend some time in L3, L4 and the Sixth Form Common Room in the Spring Term.
Students need to complete and application from if they wish to attend sixth form. They will then have an interview with the sixth form tutors. Once a final decision is made and externally accredited courses are complete students will transfer to Cannock Chase High and participate in transition activities ready for the September start.
From September 2018, some sixth form students will be based at Cannock Chase High School and another class of sixth form students at Hednesford Valley High school site.
Transition into sixth form begins in the July of each academic year with a four week transition project in partnership with NCS and liberty and a number of transition days into sixth form classes.
